SOLVED Start8 - How to change start button?

I'm trying to change the start button but all options are greyed out.

Am I missing something?

OS: Windows 8.1

Well, then someone broke it on the way down the tube from SD.

You are running WindowBlinds. When WB is running the WB skin is in control of the look of the start button unless you enable the option inside WB to force it to use whatever the OS has decided the button will be.
