I spotted this video on Top Gears Facebook newsfeed today, and I just had to show it here. It's a single-seater race car sliding round the track in 14 minutes - on snow - and ice - in -16C driven by Andy Gülden, the driving instructor at the track. Pretty impressive, imo. How 'bout that, Paul. An idea for Bathurst? Oh, wait.....

Would it be possible to add this feature to Start8: What should the Start button look like? "None/blank" Currently we have three options: Default, Start8 and Custom image. It's not always that any of these option go well with the Windowblinds applied, thus it would be nice to use the one supplied with the WB - which as far as I know isn't possible at the moment.

Spottet this post on the Danish national TV's website, and it kinda made me giggle. It's a list of 'observations' made by an American living in Denmark (Where I also live), and it sort of defines what 'a Dane' is and how 'we think'. Well 'sort of' is a bit vague.... it's more or less spot on! YOU KNOW YOU'VE BEEN IN DENMARK TOO LONG, WHEN: You think there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. You think its normal to pic...

Hey gang, I need your help/advice. Looks like I might be looking at some extra cash and was thinking about (finally) getting me a proper GFX card again. I'm currently running an ancient nVidia 7300 LE wuheeeee...... (not) But it's a focking jungle out there.... and I'm sure some of you got your fingers on the hardware pulse. So, what do I need? Monitor support: 3. (DVI/VGA) RAM: Enough to do some proper gaming. So at least 2GB. Brand: I don't give rats ass..... As long...

Though I'm known here on Wincustomize as the 'friendly Evil Wizop ' and an avid hater of most of the containt of the Wallpaper gallery, a little know fact is that in real-life(tm) I'm a hopeless romantic. 23 years ago, April 13th 1989 12:15, I was 'ambushed' by my current ex-wife and/but still best friend. We had 16 gloriest years living together, but 6 years ago we split up, mainly due my PC- and skinning-addiction. Every day since I have kicked myself for letting th...

Today I finished my skin number 500. I started on my first skin, a WinAmp skin, back in 1998 but never completed it. (It looks -shit-) Since then I've made skins for 52 different applications of various sorts, some of which most of you have never even heard about. My favorite was WinAmp for which I've made 30 skins, before I got into Windowblinds. From 2003 - 2006 I ended up making 56 WBs. I quit active skinning back in February 2006 after finishing the 5imple WinAmp skin. Since ...

Ever since I updated WB 7 (today, Sunday) I've been unable to read/send emails because whenever I open an email, or try to send one Outlook goes belly up. As soon as I excluded Outlook from being skinned by WB everything was OK. WB info: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 5.2 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 5.9 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.0 (build 220 x86 - Vista Edition) - 64 bit OS WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC Window...

Smashing Magazine displays through out the year, some of the best wallpapers available on the interweb, in their monthly feature 'Desktop Wallpaper Calendar'. I spottet the news about this on Facebook, of all places, so it can be usefull. What drew my attention was that a couple of our very own top WinC artists are featured in the magazines August edition. They maybe others but they are listed with their real-life names, which I simply don't know. The two I do know are: ...

Another day - another PC related problem.... Specs first: Vista HB 64 bit ATI Radeon HD4850 X2 (Catalyst 8.632.0.0 - CrossFireX enabled, if relevant) Monitor 1: Philips 220WS (22") Monitor 2: Neovo H-W22 (22") Monitor 3: Neovo H-W19 (19") (All are connected to the GFX card with DVI -> VGA connectors) As the topics says, the third monitor isn't being detected. They are set up like this: I've tried both the vacant slots, to no avail. The monitor just isn't visible, ne...

I fear my 8600 GT is about to go belly up, so I've been looking around for a new card and have spotted this puppy: 2 GPU Radeon HD 4850 X2 PCI Express 2.0 X16 2 GB GDDR3 DVI/HDMI (HDCP) HDTV out (4 monitor outputs) I'm looking for a 'highend-ish' card this time. Opinions? (It's going for around $380 over here)

I displayed my newly purchased ASUS Eee PC in the ' September Desktop Screenshot ' thread, and was asked by ama02: Snowman, I am considering getting an Asus Eee PC, one with XP, how do you like yours? Pros? Cons? So I thought I'd give it a 'little' review, from an endusers perspective I absolutey love it - at least for my use. I use it as a fancy pansy typewriter Pros: - Lightweight; You'll hardly notice it in your briefcase/bag. It weighs less than a pound (incl. battery) - ...
